Michael Jackson x Justin Timberlake - "Love Never Felt So Good"
Michael Jackson's posthumous release XSCAPE gets some shine as his "contemporized" duet with Justin Timberlake "Love Never Felt So Good" is let loose on the adoring public. Originally recorded in 1983, "LNFSG" bears all of the funked-out four to the floor watermarks of that glistening era, but adds JT's smooth croon over some updated production. It's the perfect Sunday rooftop BBQ jam, that'll have you two-stepping the day away. The irony of an MJ x JT collab is that most of the track's on Timberlake's solo debut Justified were actually written for the King by Pharrell, but MJ passed and in one wave of his hand launched JT's career through the stratosphere. Now that's star power.
Jackson's posthumous drop XSCAPE is due out in just a few short weeks, hitting digital shelves May 13th and featuring a star-lined roster of producers from that golden era (Rodney Jerkins, StarGate, Jerome "J-Roc" Harmon, and John McClain) and contemporary r&b lords like the aforementioned Timberlake, Mary J Blige, D'Angelo, our fateful leader ?uesto and more (to be revealed.) You can preorder the release via iTunes today, but you'll just have to sit pretty like the rest of us to find out what that deluxe edition is all about.
