Miguel Delivers A Steamy Live Performance Of "Coffee" On The BBC

Lenny Kravitz, Grace Jones, Lauryn Hill, Lion Babe, Thundercat, SZA & More Rock The Afropunk Festival 2015 in Brooklyn, NY.

It's probably a safe bet that "Coffee," the latest runaway success from R&B wild man Miguel, is going to have a similar trajectory as an actual cup of java--burning hot and energizing at its onset, beautifully sustaining for some time following and, perhaps, a bit tiring later as things cool off. But at the moment, at least, the buzz is very real (and if you consider what he actually means by "coffee," it's never going out of style) and Miguel capitalized this week by taking a full live band to BBC Radio 1's "Live Lounge" program for a stellar performance of "Coffee," which nailed the catchy, emotive power the studio cut and was lacking only in its Wale-less-ness.

"Coffee," of course, will appear on Miguel's upcoming Wildheart LP which is set to drop on June 29th and features a long list of steamy, intricate new numbers (some of which you can preview here). Miguel also stuck around the BBC's digs to perform "Hey" by the British punk act Slaves, which in itself turned out to be a captivating moment. You can preorder Wildheart today via iTunes (and we strongly suggest doing so) and watch both "Coffee" and "Hey" below. Also, check out a full list of Miguel's summer tour dates below.
