Mixtape Monday: Lo-Fi Odysseys, Taimles, Bungalow & More
Following all the hype of Kendrick Lamar and his "humility" last week, this week's episode of Mixtape Monday is decidedly chill. With deep sets from Lo-Fi Odysseys, Taimles and Bungalow, we also have work from up-and-coming New York City selectors such as kbrissy and Nasty Niles, who deliver fresh sets full of future-forward heat and '90s party jams.
Dave Hudson-New takes A Tribe Called Quest fans on a journey to dissect some of the legendary group's favorites from the Native Tongues crew and other heavy hitters of the Golden Era of Hip-Hop. Selecta MaaS teams up with Lukee Stepaz to dig up and share some much needed irie dancehall and roots reggae gems. DJ i.caze rounds out this episode with a clinic for aspiring diggers featuring funk, soul and intoxicating rhythms from around the world.
