Fresh off another successful Record Store Day 2017, this week's episode of Mixtape Monday features celebratory sets from Gilles Peterson and Run P. We also have a short stretch of choice hip-hop sets from DJ's Ill DigitzHalabi and Matman. Instrumental lovers, don't worry, we got you covered as Adam Kvasnica gets us funkin' again, while DJ Breathless drops a heavy dose of Afrobeats for the lunch rush. Jehan represents The Music Snobs with the perfect sounds for your jeeps, coupes, Beemers and your Benzses. Crate Invader and LeFtO help to round things out with deep cuts, a few rarities and a host of very, very, very special new joints.

Gilles Peterson celebrates Record Store Day 2017 in session with Tortoise guitarist Jeff Parker. The three hour broadcast toasts the tenth anniversary of Record Store Day and features Tortoise cuts alongside avant garde sounds from Sun Ra, Osunlade, Alice Coltrane, Yazz Ahmed, Dwight Trible, Davy Kehoe, Abstract Orchestra, Miles Davis and more. DJ Halabi digs a trove of fire production for the nineteenth installment of his Deckstrumental series. The 51-minute set is a clinic in experimental sounds, soulful beats, classic boom-bap inspired production. This go-round Halabi includes tracks from Klaus Layer, Handbook, Kill Emil and Crooked Cat Records. There is some serious gold in the set. Let this one wash over you a few times.

LP. As is usually the case with a LeFtO set, it only gets more dynamic from there.
