James Blake's appearances on BBC 1 Radio are always an event, not least because he always drops some unreleased gems, including his own remixes, edits, and DJ tools. Case in point Blake's 'Harmonomix' of Kendrick Lamar's "good kid, m.A.A.d. city." Can you say; future sound of Compton?
J Rocc is one of our favorite DJs in the entire world, so you know when he steps into the Boiler Room, pipes will bust.
One week ago, this house ceased to be a home for so many of us, when pioneering Chicago DJ Frankie Knuckles (not to be confused with The Roots' percussionist Frank Knuckles) shuffled off this mortal coil to the tune of "The Whistle Song." Fittingly, many DJs around the world have paid tribute in the days since and here we share 3 of the best, from Mister Cee, Evil Dee and our friends at Grown Kids Radio. First up is the GKR tribute:

DJ Q-bert of DMC/Skratch Piklz/Dr. Octagon fame shows merely mortal DJs what a turntable is for (and also makes it do a few things it was never intended for).

He also drops Knxledge on some new tunes that may be unfamiliar but maybe new favorites by the end of this mix. Like a DJ is supposed to. Happy Monday and Happy Spring.
