Pass The Popcorn: Nas' 'Time Is Illmatic' Doc To Premiere At Tribeca In April
Tribeca Film has acquired the North American rights to One9 and Erik Parker's Nas documentary Time Is Illmatic, which tells the story behind the creation of Nasir Jones' seminal 1994 LP. The latest from the film about the celebrated Queens MC follows the documentary's debut at the 2014 Tribeca Film Festival. The simultaneous theatrical and VOD release will coincide with live performances from Nas in select cities. The news of more show dates arrives as Nas continues to perform in support of the Illmatic XX LP, which was released to mark the 20th anniversary of the release of Illmatic.
