Gospel Artist Shirley Caesar Sues DJ Suede's #UNameItChallenge
Atlanta's CBS46 reports that Grammy-award winning Gospel artist and Pastor Shirley Caesar is suing DJ Suede The Remix God, Jullian Boothe and Empire Distribution for a music video posted to YouTube that uses portions of her sermon made famous by the #UNameItChallenge. "Beans, greens, potatoes, tomatoes/ Lamb, rams, hogs, dogs/ Beans, greens, potatoes, tomatoes/ Chicken, turkeys, chicken, turkeys" and so on, you all know it. Caesar's legal team is claiming the unauthorized video is worth $5 million in loses. The song is also being sold on iTunes. The lead attorney on Caesar's legal team is James Walker. The video, according to Walker " violate the brand, image and name of a Christian pastor." DJ Suede's video features alcohol, alcohol consumption, and mentions the use of marijuana. Caesar's legal team pointed out that Snoop Dogg also made a song from the #UNameItChallenge but his version was clean.
