The Weeknd Breaks Record For Most Streams In One Day On Spotify

The Weeknd Annunces Phase One Of "Starboy: Legend Of The Fall" World Tour

The Weeknd has broken a new record. The Canadian singer officially has the most streamed music in a single day in Spotify's history. Fellow Canadian Justin Bieber previously held the spot for most streams in a day while another Canadian (you may know him) Drake holds the record for most streamed artist of all time on Spotify. Drake's hit track “One Dance” is the most streamed song in Spotify's history with hundreds of millions of listens. Starboy, which runs eighteen tracks long, was released on November 25th. The album boasts features from Kendrick LamarDaft PunkFuture and Lana Del Rey. In a rare interview, The Weeknd sat down with Zane Lowe on Apple Music's Beats 1 to discuss working with Kendrick Lamar, a comic book that’s in development, Starboy, performance anxiety and stage fright, family, and much more. Watch the interview below. The Weeknd's previous album Beauty Behind The Madness holds the title for 2015's most streamed album on Spotify. Starboy is The Weeknd's third studio album. Scroll down to peep tour dates and locations to catch The Weeknd on tour.
