Stream Nick Hakim's Debut Solo EP 'Where Will We Go Pt. 1'
Nick Hakim has been teasing us with tracks from his solo debut Where Will We Go Pt. 1 for a few months now, dropping earthy r&b cuts like "Cold" and "The Light" on us to wrap our wits around. Today we have the pleasure of seeing those offerings and three more make their way to his Where Will We Go EP, which blends the melancholia of left-of-center ish like Blood Orange, Frank Ocean and even someone like Emily King (with whom he formerly collaborated) with something more organic, more stank-face inducing, flaunting lush vocal arrangements and a brilliantly full pallet of blues and purples.
When we spoke with Hakim all those months ago to bring y'all the premieres of "Cold" and "The Light" he implied that Where Will We Go would come in the form of a full-length (as opposed to an EP,) the division of which merely implies that we've got some new ish to look forward to in the weeks and months ahead. You can stream Nick Hakim's Where Will We Go Pt. 1 below for the low, low price of free ninety-nine, just stay tuned, as there appears to be plenty more where that came from.
