Nile Rodgers Performs "Get Lucky" Live In France For The First Time

Tickets Are Now On Sale For Nile Rodgers's FOLD Fest Featuring Pharrell, Chuck D, CHIC, Eric B + More

Nile Rodgers & Chic Sign To Warner Brothers, New Album Slated For June Release

Update:Tickets for the FOLD festival are now on sale and can be purchased here. A new lineup roster no longer includes Chaka Khan, Q-Tip or Janelle Monae, but Chic, Chuck D, GTA, Paloma Faith, Keith Urban, The Martinez Brothers and Thomas Gold have been added to the bill.

In a bombshell end-of-the-day move, disco legend and Chic bandleader Nile Rodgers has announced the tentative lineup to his personally-curated FOLD music festival. And it's preposterous. Q-Tip, Pharrell, Janelle Monae, Chaka Khan, Eric B., Beck and Duran Duran, Chic, Chuck D, GTA, Paloma Faith, Keith Urban, The Martinez Brothers and Thomas Gold have all been tentatively listed as headliners for the festival, which will take place August 4th and 5th Riverhead, NY at the Martha Clara Vineyards on Long Island.

According to the mighty Nile, FOLD stands for FreakOutLet'sDance, which of course is an allusion to Chic's classic hit "Le Freak" and the David Bowie/Rodgers collaboration "Let's Dance." Given all these funky signifiers, one has to imagine that Rogers himself will take up his axe and lead Chic through a riotous set of disco. Or is that too much to ask? Additional details are reportedly forthcoming, but in a Facebook post Rogers claimed to be behind the entire operation and alluded to even more artists being added to the already gargantuan, staggering, tremendous, elephantine bill. More information is sure to drop soon, and, of course, Nile Rodgers still owes the world a brand new Chic album, so count on hearing quite a bit more on all things FOLD in the coming weeks.

Did we mention the lineup is amazing? Seriously, shut up and take our money already.
