Noname Gypsy & Saba Share A Somber (And Brilliant) "Open Apology"

Noname Gypsy feat. Saba - "Open Apology"

Perhaps some of you are familiar The Windy City's femme fatale Noname GypsyShe's lent her voice and cool, cold wordplay to tracks with Chance The Rapper, prominently featured on Donnie Trumpet & The Social Experiment's immeasurably dope Surf LP, lining up with J. Cole on the tender cut "Warm Enough." Since then, she's continued her creative kinship with Chano on the contemplative, yet blissful loosie "Israel (Sparring)," not to mention landing alongside Thundercat on Kirk Knight's frightful "Dead Friends."

But even with such air-tight features and the mounting recognition of the industry, Gypsy appears to be showing no sign of slowing, releasing yet another brilliant collaborative effort in "Open Apology" featuring fellow Chicagoan, SabaHere, she continues to pen poignant verbiage, delivered in an almost spoken-word cadence that is poetic and deliberate all at once. The track features a minimal and slightly-swung production from Saba (who also contributes his own verse) and bass-man Carter Langakin to some modern-day notes from Dilla. You can hear the latest cut from Noname Gypsy below, just be sure to stay woke, as we've heard rumblings of a star-studded debut full-length project on the way that could very well solidify her already sturdy spot in the game.
