Ohio Police Caught Using Taser On 12 Year Old Black Girl At Skating Rink

Two Ohio Sheriff's deputies were recently caught on video using a taser on a 12-year-old girl who refused to put on her rolling skates at a skating rink.

The witness video shows the two police officers lifting the girl from the ground, with one of them reaching for their stun gun to subdue the pre-teen. Another video shows the altercation between the three from another angle. When the girl did not stop resisting, one of the cops used their taser on the back of the girl's leg, to get her to comply with orders.

The incident began when the 12-year-old was asked to put on rolling skates in the skating rink Skatin' Place, and was given a time frame within which to do so by an employee. When she refused to do so, both Skatin' Place staff and the deputies reportedly told the girl several times that she needed to leave the skating rink. However, the pre-teen refused to leave and allegedly used "extremely disrespectful language," as well as hit one deputy in the face twice and kicked both deputies.

"Deputies have been working at that skating rink for a number of years," Sheriff Jim Neilsaid. "This is the first time in a long time that there was a major incident at this venue."

Hamilton County Sheriff's Office spokesman Mike Robison said that the girl was charged with two counts of assault on an officer; one count of resisting arrest; and one count of disorderly conduct. However, her name was not revealed since she is a minor.

The girl's father has since spoken out on the incident saying, "At this point, I'm beyond angry. I'm hurt, then, it's in front of a whole ton of kids...It had nothing to do with race. It's how excessive it was on a little 12-year-old girl and grown men, two grown men."
