Okay Space is Spotlighting More Than 40 Artists This Weekend in Brooklyn

Everybodys talking about Miami this week. But for those not headed down to Basel, theres still A LOT happening in New Yorkincluding right here at Okayplayer and Okayafricas gallery in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

Opening Thursday night at our very own Okay Space, the FIT MFA Illustration Show is spotlighting the 2-D works of more than 40 students, 2016 graduates and faculty members of the Fashion Institute of Technology School of Graduate Studies.

Trust me: theyre dope.

As individuals, our students are painters, designers, animators, writers, and storytellers. As a group, they are a powerful voice. The 2016 Fall Show is an expression of that voice, the FIT MFA Program says. This group exhibition, the first featuring all of our current students, recent graduates, and faculty, is a student-driven initiative."

The images presented in the show represent the work of the FIT MFA in Illustration candidates for the classes of 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and faculty members. Limited-edition $40 prints of each of the works are available for purchase.

RSVP to the opening reception taking place Thursday, December 1, 7-10pm at the Okay Space in Williamsburg, Brooklyn (281 North 7th Street). Join the Facebook event here. Pizza, beer and wine will be provided by our neighbors at Best Pizza, Brooklyn Brewery and Union Wine Company respectively. Shout out to our friends at Blick art supplies as well.

Keep up with Okay Space on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for news on upcoming shows and events.
