Outkast To Return To The Stage In 2014?
Outkast is rumored to be plotting a return to the stage at Coachella 2014 - seven years after the legendary Atlanta duo marked their hiatus. According to a recent article from Billboard, the duo have been in prolonged talks to sort out the details of their long-awaited return. Arguably one of the most popular and original hip-hop groups to ever grace the stage, Outkast's decision to leave the spotlight left legions of fans and Dungeon Family devotees to mourn their absence in the years following. As time and musical trends have passed, public thirst for an Outkast project has failed to subside. Fueling the insatiable fire are Big Boi's solo LPs and a string of white hot features that have left Andre 3000 head and shoulders above most of the able bodied MCs in the business in just a matter of bars. While it could be plausible that the recent return of Goodie Mob has incited the pair to get back onstage, it is more likely that any decision to regroup was ultimately influenced by the opinions of Andre 3000, Big Boi and no one else. According to reports, Outkast would kick off their reunion at the Coachella Valley Music And Arts Festival in April 2014 and follow with additional festival dates across the country. Only time and the official 2014 Coachella schedule will tell if this is truly the real deal. Get your festival passes and plane tickets, just in case.
