Pass The Popcorn: Chadwick Boseman Goodfoots On The Set Of James Brown Biopic 'Get On Up'
Those who have been teeming to get a peek at Chadwick Boseman as the hardest working man in show business Mr. James Brown, shall wait not longer. In this most recent press from the The Today Show on the upcoming JB biopic Get On Up, Chad can be found doing his best mashed potato alongside powerhouse comedian Craig Robinson, who is now confirmed to play legendary horn arranger and player Maceo Parker. Bosewick can be spotted in countless get-ups (go figure) once worn by the late great and talks to the difficulty of emulating those death-defying splits JB was known for, admitting its harder to come up then it is to get down.
Mick Jagger also speaks to the work thats been done on the resurrected project, with him and Brian Grazer signed on to produce and The Help director Tate Taylor taking on his standard role. Taylor exclaims "I want your standing in front of your seat dancing", speaking to the power of the artist whose life they are portraying and the power of the film itself. With a cast that includes the aforementioned funny-man and the Chad, amongst Jill Scott as one of JB's wives and Dan Aykroyd as his manager, the star-studded roster is aiming not just to please, but enrich.
