Pass The Popcorn: Stones Throw's 'Our Vinyl Weighs A Ton' Trailer + Premiere Dates

Oh you didn't know that Stones Throw is one of the most prolific independent record labels ever? Well get ready, cause they're fixing to let you know with the springtime release of director Jeff Broadway's quintessential come-up doc Our Vinyl Weighs A Ton. Chronicling the beginnings and legacy of Peanut Butter Wolf's brainchild, the documentary hosts droves hip-hop's finest -seriously, everyone from ?uestlove, Kanye and Madlib to Tyler, The Creator, Flying Lotus and Peanut Butter Wolf himself-- in testimonials vouching for the indisputable greatness of the imprint.

Stones Throw has made its name by standing for the good shit--not the bullshit-- time and time again, putting some of hip-hop's luminaries at the forefront of the industry and providing them with the creative discretion to do as they please with their own respective legacies. OVWAT is slated for a spring roll-out, screening in 9 cities throughout the end of February into March --after which there will be performances by Peanut Butter Wolf, J Rocc, Jonwayne and Knx-- leading into the film's premiere at SXSW this year.
