Tyler The Creator's Cartoon Series 'The Jellies' Headed To Adult Swim This Summer
Two years and change since their premiere on Gold Media, Tyler The Creator's The Jellies have been scooped by Adult Swim to series. With an original score provided by Tyler, and voice acting from L-Boy, Blake Anderson (of Workaholics fame), Phil LaMarr, AJ Johnson and Kevin Michael Richardson, as they tell the tale of embattled and estranged teenager, Cornell Jelly, whose origins have always hinted at something slightly otherworldly. The announcement arrives just days after VICELAND revealed that another one of Tyler's Golf Media shows, Nuts and Bolts, will begin airing on August 3rd. That show follows Tyler as he learns how things work, which promises to be more entertaining than the synopsis.
Watch a teaser for Adult Swim's The Jellies adaptation below. Earlier this week, Tyler joined an unexpected trend in canceling his European tour dates, following a similar more from Chance The Rapper. He will, however, still be performing at Panorama Festival in NYC, MO POP Festival in Detroit, and his own Camp Flog Gnaw Festival in Los Angeles. Recently, he contributed a verse to Frank Ocean's "Biking," along with Jay Z. Jump back to hear that.
