Phonte & Eric Roberson Put One Up For The Heavy-Hearted w/ "It's So Easy"
2016 has proven to be a particularly prolific stretch for Phonte. The Little Brother vocalist has been a part of some of the year's most compelling cuts by established experimentalists and new-to-the-game selectors alike, including Kaytranada's 99.9%, Robert Glasper's Everything's Beautiful and RJD2's Dame Fortune. But that's not even half the story here. Months ago, Phonte announced that he's have not one or two, but three new projects of his own out this year, beginning in May with his collaborative Zo! project, Skybreak, and ending with his sophomore solo album No News Is Good News (slated for a September 30th arrival.)
Today, however, we're in the meat of his 2016 stride with the release of Tigallero; a collaborative project with longtime creative kin Eric Roberson that's already graced us with a two-stepping treat in "It's So Easy."
