Detroit, You're Next: Prince's Hit & Run Tour Marks Its Next Stop
If the last few months have taught us anything, it's that keeping up with Prince is about as futile an undertaking as one purple patron can bear. Between dropping new singles with his trio of femme fatale 3rdEyeGirl and announcing surprise shows at a whim, it can be, at the very least, like running endlessly inside of a hamster wheel, properly placed at the center of a disco ball. While his descent upon Louisville came and went without a hitch (or even a single shot or clip) a freshly announced stop of the Hit & Run tour in Detroit on April 9th could prove to be another opportunity to catch The Purple One live and direct, in all his funky glory. That is, of course, if your trigger finger is up to snuff. So get that hand ready to pull; tickets for the Hitsville installation of the surprise concert series hit Live Nation at Noon, with the actual time and venue of the show to be announced in the days to come. So happy bidding good people of the mighty Motor City. Keep your eyes on our Facebook and Twitter accounts for the latest on the tour. And if you've still got a hankering for Mr. Rogers Nelson, jump back to peep the BBC report on his vaulted recordings and peep the new single "What If."
