Happy Saturday, new Prince single! This new dose of #purplestuff premiered on Canadian radio yesterday, just about the time TACKAP was leaking announcing news of his new album Plectrum Electrum and an an accompanying world tour (North America, Switzerland and Scandinavia so far--get full dates and details here) via his usual mode of communication (ie bat-signal to Commissioner Gordon). The track is called "FixUrLifeUp" and continues the journey into rock-ier terrain that Prince and his newly-recruited all-dime army of kung fu killers 3rd Eye Girl have been embarking on recently; as influenced by the crunchy guitar sonics of 90s grunge as by the canonical Prince elements of Jimi, Sly, Little Richard, etc. Hit the link below to hear the new song via a stream ripped from the CBC radio premiere and stay tuned for a tracklisting, album date and other details just as soon as the cloud cover over Gotham allows for another bat-signal.
