Public Enemy To Be Inducted Into Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame
Public Enemy inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame
The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame has announced that Public Enemy will be one of six acts inducted into the hall of fame in 2013. The groundbreaking and controversial group joins Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five, Run DMC, and the Beastie Boys as the only hip-hop groups in the hall of fame.
Also being inducted during the April 18, 2013 ceremony include Donna Summer, Heart, Rush, Albert King, and Randy Newman. Legendary producer Quincy Jones and music industry veteran Lou Adler will also be honored with the Ahmet Ertegun Award for Lifetime Achievement. N.W.A. was nominated for induction into the hall of fame this year but did not make the cut. Maybe Compton will make it into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame next year.
