Q-Tip guests on an alternate version of Hiatus Kaiyote's laid back soul track "Nakamarra" - the song that catapulted the group to the international stage in 2012. Interestingly enough, Q-Tip's chilled out performance hearkens back to classic Tribe recordings as his vocal rests comfortably against the composition from Nai Palm and company. Without or without Tip, the track was already pretty delicious. His presence is an added bonus that might induce visions of a Tribe LP produced with the help of the Aussie quartet. One can dream. In the meantime, Hiatus Kaiyote just cemented a deal with Sony imprint Flying Buddha - an agreement that includes plans to re-release their Tawk Tomahawk LP on July 16th.
