"I have no problem being on an island w/this one. I ain't letting yall shame T.I. out of being an overprotective Dad. Nope," the rapper said in a series of tweets.

Rah Digga has come to T.I.'s defense since he shared that he and his daughter Deyjah Harris have yearly trips to the gynecologist to check her hymen.

On December 1 (Monday), Digga first spoke on T.I.'s controversial comments after responding to a tweet about New York lawmakers introducing a bill banning virginity exams. The bill was sparked by T.I.'s comments. The rapper then proceeded to offer a series of tweets on the topic and voicing her support of the Atlanta artist.

Elsewhere during her response, Digga said she got a virginity test for her daughter, saying: "Well I did it and guess what? When I found out she wasn't anymore did I berate her..No. Did I kick her out the house..No. I was able to have a convo where she openly told me what it was. And i emphasized being safe. And life went on..."

"Everybody so stuck on the logistics of a 'hymen test' and ignoring a father expressing how he goes above and beyond to keep his kids in line. It may not be your way but I can NEVER be mad at any Black father for that. Sorry not sorry," Digga said at another point. "...I have no problem being on an island w/ this one. I ain't letting yall shame TI out of being an overprotective Dad. Nope."

T.I. spoke on the controversy during a recent appearance on Jada Pinkett Smith's Red Table Talk.

"My intentions have been terribly misconstrued and misconceived," the rapper said. "Deyjah knows how I am and who I’ve always been. The outside noise is distracting and confusing. It’s hurtful and embarrassing."
