Rapsody teams with Phonte and Jay Electronica to drop a gem on the 9th Wonder produced track for her new joint, "Jedi Code." The single arrived ahead of the She Got Game mixtape hosted by DJ Drama, which dropped today. Phonte and Jay Electronica's verses bookend the lines from Rapsody, rounding out a joint that delivers major heat with solid MCing from front to back. Phonte burns through the track with a performance that is particularly fun to listen to if you miss hearing him rhyme. The best thing about this song is that it might be the most legitimate track to emerge since the blackout heard round the world and it has absolutely nothing to do with Kendrick Lamar or anyone he called out. This is just a really great example of perfecting the craft and killing a beat because you can. With the release of "Jedi Code" Rapsody snatches wigs and reminds us what MCing is all about. This is what K. Dot was asking for. Rapsody sums up the trio's approach toward the end of the track, saying "the strength of the Jedi is in the code that we live." In laymen's terms, don't talk about it be about it. Check Rapsody's "Jedi Code" featuring Phonte and Jay Electronica below. Scroll down to grab Rapsody's She Got Game mixtape.
