Following last year's collaborative project with STS, RJD2 appears to be back in the saddle and ready drop some solo heat on the world. Today he's announced his new album Dame Fortune will arrive this year with the release of the earworm-y (and very funky) new single "Peace Of What." Speaking with Complex, the Philly-bred beatsman explained that the song is a nod to Main Source's "Peace Is Not The Word To Play," with vocalist Jordan Brown lamenting the human condition and the costs, physical and emotional, of freedom.
RJD2 has also announced a supporting tour for the record, which jumpstarts right here in ye ol' Brooklyn with two consecutive nights at Brooklyn Bowl on January 12th and 13th, continuing on to Denver, Austin, DC, LA and, of course Philly amongst other destinations. Peep the new heat down below along with the full itinerary of tour dates and buckle up for Dame Fortune, arriving March 25th. Pre-order it on iTunes today.
