Roots Picnic 2013 is happening SATURDAY, y'all and it is officially summer. We know its real because there is sunshine in Brooklyn and we have set times! (See poster art above and text version below). There's been some updates so quickly: araabMUZIK will not be performing due to injuries sustained in a recent robbery attempt (as we reported about a month ago) and we wish him good health and a speedy recovery. Naughty By Nature--in spite of differences aired over twitter---WILL be performing with The Roots, however. As Questlove noted yesterday "we already cut the check" so even if this is the last Naughty By Nature show ever (I'm not saying it is, I'm just saying) shit is going down (Hey. Ho.). Amanda Diva is handling hosting duties once again and things kick off promptly at 12 noon with the young gunners--like Jennah Bell, Lushlife and Sonnymoon--who happen to be some of our favorite artists recording right now.
