Saba Is A Man Possessed By Purpose on Stellar New 'Bucket List Project'

The Windy City is in the midst of full-blown renaissance and Chance The Rapper's not the only one we have to thank. Over the last few months, West Chicago native and leading Pivot Gang memeber, Saba, has risen from a deceptively deep pool of exceptionally talented MCs, lyricists, producers and vocalists, anchored by an eclectic palette underscored by singles like "Symmetry" and his most recent release, "Church/Liquor Store." Both shine bright, but stand as very loose extensions, at best, of Chano's impossibly optimistic disposition.
Today he releases his debut full-length Bucket List Project. Inspired by the untimely death of a dear relative, the album is possessed with purpose and paints Chicago with sharp, introspective strokes that draw from personal, at times painful narratives and experiences. And he brought the whole crew along with him to show you just how deep that pool is. The album features guest spots from from NoName, Smino, Twista, Cam O'bi, Mathew Santos, Jean Deaux, Joseph Chilliams and Akenya amongst others, also playing host to a good grip of production from Saba himself.
Like many of the projects hailing from Chicago these days, Bucket List is success by committee in the best of ways and it's available for you to stream for free down below. But if it's good to ya, be sure pick up a copy on iTunes today. Peep his live dates to catch him on the last leg of his tour.
