Salva Drops 'Peacemaker' Album f. Schoolboy Q, A$AP Ferg, Freddie Gibbs + Everybody Else
Salva--L.A. DJ, producer and songwriter--released his new album Peacemaker yesterday as a free download for the people. Salva's made a name for himself making hit remixes of chart-topping hip-hop records and flexing his creative partnership with Red Bull Studios--his "Mercy" remix got him on stage with Pusha T two years ago and is still his most listened to record. The album features appearances from a who's who of West Coast Gs including Schoolboy Q, E-40, Kurupt, Problem, Bad Lucc, as well as several other non-west coast heavyweights like Freddie Gibbs, Young Thug and A$AP Ferg. In short, a whole lot of cameos. In honor of the album release Boiler Room x Red Bull Studios are streaming an exclusive live performance from Salva on November 3rd and Kurupt, Problem and Freddie Gibbs will also be present. He promises more than EDM, "the whole EDM invasion, I think that's been coming pretty hard and I think that's been done to death", and more than generic rap meets contemporary electronic and dance.
You can download the album here friends, and stream down below. Check out this portrait of Salva working on the album at Red Bull Studios also down yonder--there's a lot of sound engineer talk in there so challenge yourself to learn something or just to keep up.
