Sam Smith Teases His New Bond Theme "Writing's On The Wall"
When news broke that Sam Smith and Disclosure were the authors of the latest James Bond film theme, "Writing's On The Wall," the world responded with singing praise. Smith, towering vocal talent that he is, appears to be a perfect fit for the role, and in every way deserving to join the likes of Adele, Paul McCartney, Nancy Sinatra and of course Shirley Bassey as a Bond artist.
Now, we've been gifted with a short preview of "Writing's On the Wall," thanks to Smith himself, and while the clip doesn't include any of the 23-year-old's vocals, it does feature soaring strings and brash horns--necessary ingredients for a successful Bond theme, to be sure.

Previously, Smith has said that recording the Bond theme (which was produced in part by the Disclosure brothers) was one of the highlights of his career (and also one of the quickest writing processes he's ever partaken in.) “This has been a top-secret mission of my own trying to keep it a secret,” he told the BBC. “I’m so relieved to actually talk about this.” The full recording of "Writing's on the Wall" will be released Friday, September 25th.
