ScHoolboy Q Says New Album Is Halfway Done In Interview
ScHoolboy Q sat down with Zane Lowe on his Apple Music Beats 1 radio program to talk music, his creative process, fatherhood, upcoming projects, and more. During the interview Q also spoke on his upcoming album and how it will be different from his past records.“It’s more so my life after I made it to the point of ScHoolboy Q. I gave you me, but I never gave you the other side of me. The father, the dude that’s actually happy, the dude that doesn’t be in the hood just hanging out. The dude that’s trying to put his homies in position now. I’m not a deadbeat father anymore. I'm in my daughter's life," Q remarked. He also said that he is about "half way into my new album." Q also mentioned that he has music with Anderson .Paak in the vault. Q dropped his latest album Black Face LP last year. The album boasts features from Jadakiss, Vince Staples, Candice Pillay, Tha Dogg Pound, Kanye West, Anderson .Paak, fellow label mates SZA, Lance Skiiwalker, and more. Blank Face is nominated for two Grammys in the categories of Best Rap Performance for "THat Part" featuring Kanye West and Best Rap Album.
