Here's What Shirley Caesar Thinks Of The #UNameItChallenge

So, by now you should be aware of the #UNameItChallenge, where the Internet turned a brief bit from gospel superstar Shirley Caesar into a viral sensation.

Taken from her sermon titled "Hold My Mule," Caesar gets to a part to where she begins to name off a number of different items: "I got greens, beans, potatoes, tomatoes, lambs, rams, hogs, dogs, chickens, turkeys, rabbits — you name it!"

Since then social media has changed the sermon into anything you could possibly think of: a Jersey club banger; a trap banger; and much, much more. This entire trend apparently began with Instagram user RemixGodSuede, adding his own instrumental behind the clip.

But what does Caesar think of it all? Well, the gospel singer recently appeared on The Willie Moore Jr. Show to talk about her sudden viral fame, as well as gave her own performance of the song.

"I was out in the middle of the ocean, and one of the members from my church showed it to me," she said. "I was so shocked to see them dancing and boogeying…the Lord is so good to me…to come home and millions are listening to the song…"

So, is a rap crossover in the foreseeable future? Maybe an appearance on the next Kanye West or Chance The Rapperalbum?

Who knows. But at the very least we can find joy in knowing Caesar will be performing "Hold My Mule" live, with the singer saying will be doing the tune during an upcoming show in Columbia, South Carolina.

If you needed a Thanksgiving anthem for this year this is surely the one to get everybody in a festive mood. Not only does it name some of the delicacies associated with the yearly celebration, but it's also accompanied by a banging beat.
