Skyzoo Shares New Bonus Track "Hands Folded Together" ft. Elzhi
Intrepid thinker, practiced writer, tireless worker and video game geek. These are just a few of the terms one could use to describe Skyzoo, the Brooklyn MC who seems hell-bent on pummeling the hip-hop world with an endless supply of tastefully-produced gems. He just never stops. Skyzoo is just weeks away from the release of his highly-anticipated Music for My Friends LP, and despite already releasing an in-depth documentary on the making of his new work the MC has decided to be extra-generous and treat us to a new single, "Hands Folded Together," which features Detroit native (and former Slum Village member) Elzhi. Over a piano sample that cycles over and around itself like a strange machine, both MCs put in excellent work, making us all the more eager to get the goods when Music For My Friends drops on June 23rd.
"Hands Folded Together" is in fact a bonus track from Skyzoo's new project. Hot New Hip Hop reports that fans who snag the new record on vinyl or cassette will find it tucked neatly into their purchase, and, according to Skyzoo, it was something of a one-off venture that turned out fantastic. "Our fans and supporters have been requesting a full-on Skyzoo & Elzhi bar fest for some time now," 'Zoo told HNHH. "The song is just a full on barrage of lyrics, true pen work at its finest indeed. The beat is exactly what a Skyzoo & Elzhi record should sound like, and if you know El and I, you know what to expect and then some. This one was strictly for our die-hard supporters who know what our reps were built on."
