Woman Files Third Sexual Assault Lawsuit Against Snoop Dogg
Snoop Dogg faces a third sexual assault lawsuit, this time with an added defamation claim, from a woman identified as 'Jane Doe.'
Snoop Dogg faces a third sexual assault lawsuit from a woman identified as 'Jane Doe' in court documents. Along with accusations of forcible oral sex and assault from Snoop and his friend Bishop Don "Magic" Juan, Jane Doe has added a defamation claim, saying that the rapper attempted to “threaten, intimidate and coerce [her] into not exercising her constitutional rights to engage in a mediation” in an Instagram post from March.
“Gold digger season is here be careful Nefews keep ya guards up,” read Snoop's post.
The lawsuit was filed just days before Snoop performed in the Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show with Dr. Dre, Mary J. Blige, Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, 50 Cent and Anderson .Paak. In the revived lawsuit, Jane Doe claims that Snoop attempted to “pursue a malicious prosecution action” against her for “tens of millions of dollars” in retaliation. Additionally “scaring” and “intimidating” her, Snoop allegedly gave his spokesperson permission to reveal the woman's identity in a statement issued after the first lawsuit filing.
“The complaint refiled today against Snoop Dogg by ‘Jane Doe’ and her attorney is meritless,” a spokesperson for Snoop Dogg said in a statement. “It follows Jane Doe’s attorney’s voluntarily dismissing just a few months ago her previous complaint on the alleged matter. He also dismissed an earlier complaint – this is the third try.”
The spokesperson continued, “As before, this refiled complaint is riddled with and predicated upon falsehoods and inaccuracies. Moreover, as Jane Doe and her attorney know or should know, Jane Doe has never been Snoop Dogg’s employee."
“In March 2022, the plaintiff and her attorney were served with a motion to dismiss by legal counsel for Snoop Dogg. That motion made clear to Jane Doe and her attorney the false nature of Jane Doe’s allegations against Snoop Dogg. Jane Doe’s attorney then in April 2022 asked the court to dismiss his client’s complaint. Snoop Dogg looks forward to proving the falsity of these allegations.”
According to TMZ, the lawsuit comes after an alleged encounter with Snoop and Bishop Don "Magic" Juan in 2013, where Jane Doe says the two sexually assaulted her after a concert, suing Snoop for a violation of the Trafficking Victims Protection Act, sexual battery, and sexual assault.
