Cali soul trio KING returns after a long hiatus that left fans wondering when they would return with a follow-up to their critically acclaimed EP The Story - the three-track breakout project that found fans and fellow musicians openly clamoring for more. There was at least their appearance on Robert Glasper's Black Radio in 2012 to hold fans over. Their latest track "In The Meantime" was written, produced and performed by Paris Strother with vocals from Amber Strother and Anita Bias - their super-sweet vox rounding out the three-part performance. An understated drum track and bright keys combine with a beautifully layered vocal and synth chords to create the sound that is unmistakably KING's. A sound that was absolutely missed. Here's hoping there's more where this came from.
