Soulection has made it their business to put you on to all of the heat that's been lurking just below the surface with the launch of their White Label Series. The series is designed to shed light on a number of short projects from "forward thinking creators worldwide." Their efforts will undoubtedly enhance Soulection's already stellar roster of artists and an ever-expanding catalog of projects. They kick things off with Lakim - the Lynchburg producer who hit the ground running with a series of remixes that got the label's attention in 2012. That relationship ultimately lead to the more recent release of his Reinterpretations EP, which dropped in May. Lakim returns strong with a 3-track project that employs the rhythmic foundations of trap, house and a hood classic with "Crushin' You" - a rework of the Biggie and R. Kelly joint that bears a similar but slightly more explicit title. Check the track below to listen to the first addition to the Soulection White Label Series from Lakim. Stay tuned for Lakim's forthcoming project, dropping in 2014.
