Pass The Popcorn: Spike Lee's Next Film 'Chiraq' To Star Kanye West, Common & Samuel L. Jackson
Spike Lee appears to have announced his next film treatment and is eyeing to get some premier talent on board for his latest cinematic endeavor. According to The Wrap, Uncle Spike has signed on with Amazon Studios to bring a film currently titled Chiraq to the world, presumably tackling Chicago's epidemic-level gun violence and murder rate, enlisting the likes of the city's own sons Common and Kanye West for starring roles in the film, with Samuel L. Jackson and Jeremy Piven also lending their talents to the production. While plot details are virtually non-existent at the moment, we do know that the film will be exclusive to Amazon, so be sure to get yourself signed up in the meantime. There's also no word on when the project is slated to arrive, likely due to the fact that it's still very much in pre-production mode, but you know exactly where to find the goods when they arrive. If you're teeming with excitement for Mr. West's next film role, it seems you'll probably see him in the sequel to Ben Stiller's Zoolander before Lee's new project surfaces. So keep your head on a swivel Okay folks, there's plenty more to come.
