Stacy Barthe Has A Hit With New Single "War IV Love"
Stacy Barthe's new single "War IV Love" is a smooth jam awash with bass, highlighting her plush vocals. With tribal accents and a melodic groove that sticks, Barthe's 3 minute and 4 second track leaves listeners wrapped in her tender grasp. The Grammy nominated singer songwriter has a lot under her belt, including writing credit for songs like Rihanna's "Cheers (Drink To That)" and Katy Perry's "Hummingbird Heartbeat." In 2011 she released a track with Frank Ocean titled "Without You" and last year she released an 8 track EP entitled P.S I Love You. Priding herself in making music listeners can relate to, Barthe's writing is a true expression of emotion that is clearly heard on the tracks. The new singles "War IV Love" and "Extraordinary Love" (both featured on BET's popular show Being Mary Jane) are just a small taste of what Barthe's been cooking up for her debut album, due to be released under Motown Records. With small builds, the chorus of "War IV Love" surrenders itself to the waves of the verses so we can melt into Barthe's words "I'd suffer war if it meant victory was our love." Surrender to her undeniable new hit (stream below and/or purchase on iTunes here).
