We heard news about the 1989 classic film Steel Magnolias getting remade, and now the trailer has finally graced the internet. Directed by Kenny Leon, the updated version stars an all black cast including executive producer Queen Latifah who plays mother M'Lynn. Jill Scott, Cosby Show's Phylicia Rashad and Alfre Woodard will also be apart of the magnolia crew. The trailer looks pretty promising, throwing in what they could from the classic comedy scenes to powerfully dramatic Latifah breakdowns in two minutes. The movie is based around the bond among a group of women that deal with several life altering events, so appropriately, it's being released on Lifetime. Check out the trailer below.
