In honor of Stevie Wonder's 70th birthday today (May 13), a handful of DJs have come together for a live 24-hour tribute dedicated to the music icon.
Titled "24 Hours of Stevie," the tribute began at midnight with Questlove and has since continued with Gilles Peterson and DJ Tara. Natasha Diggs, D-Nice and DJ Spinna will be DJ'ing later on today. The tribute can be viewed on the Instagram account, @swfamily24.
Previously, Questlove had an all-Stevie DJ set that lasted four hours. During the set, Stevie himself called in, and was placed on speakerphone by Quest so listeners tuning in could hear him.
Wonder recently performed a heartwarming tribute to Bill Withers, who passed away at 81 last month. During his Global Citizen's One World: Together at Home set, he briefly performed the late musician's seminal "Lean On Me," which was followed by a rousing rendition of his own Songs in The Key of Life opener, "Love's in Need of Love Today."
