Talib Kweli recently stopped by Sway In The Morning on SiriusXM's Shade45 for an interview with hosts Sway and Heather B, both of whom expressed their love for his visits to the show. Kweli spoke a bit about his latest LP Prisoner Of Conscious - currently standing at the number two spot - before jumping into a bunch of topics. He talks about his desire to focus on music and the process of making it if he were to host his own radio show. The conversation then jumps into the gaping divide of social media and how to handle oneself responsibly as a public figure, before Kweli gives a bit of insight into his sound and inspiration on certain songs in his catalog. He mentions borrowing Nas' flow on "Ether" for his song "Good To You." The visit is capped by a live performance of Kweli's classic "Get By", which was produced by Kanye West. Kweli even drops a bit of insight on Kanye's early production process. Check the footage below for the full interview. Check Okayplayer's day in the life of Talib Kweli here.
