The rapper reportedly flew to Texas over the weekend and surrendered early Monday morning. According to a report in TMZ, 6ix9ine posted $5k bail and walked out.

His arraignment is being confirmed for Friday, though TMZ reports he may be appearing in court as early as today.

The rapper was arrested after an incident at a Texas mall earlier this year. A 16-year-old boy reportedly insulted 6ix9ine, calling him a "gay ice cream truck," and was placed in a chokehold as a result. The teen pressed charges after the exchange.
