Tekashi69 Believed to Have Been Targeted in Shooting on Set of Video With 50 Cent

After shots were fired on set of the video for "Get The Strap" in Brooklyn, sources close to 50 Cent say they believe someone was out to get 6ix9ine.

Shots were fired on set at a music video shoot with 50 Cent, Uncle Murda, 6ix9ine and Casnova. a gunman reportedly fired off eight shots. The rappers were filming a video for the song "Get the Strap" on West St. near the Greenpoint waterfront in New York Tuesday night when the unidentified person began shooting.

According to TMZ, witnesses say someone in a white Porsche with New Jersey license plates fired at least 11 shots during filming in Brooklyn Tuesday at around 10:30 PM. An examination of the shell casings shows the shooter appeared to have used a 9 mm semi-automatic weapon.

Sources connected to Tekashi believe the shooter wasn't targeting any of the other rappers, but law enforcement has not confirmed. No victims were reported.

Authorities are reviewing surveillance video, but no one has been taken into custody yet.

Sources close to 50 Cent say he was not the target of the shooting and also believe someone was out to get 6ix9ine.

Last month, 6ix9ine was reportedly robbed and kidnapped at gunpoint.
