The Internet Announces New LP + "Partners In Crime Part Two"
The Internet delivers "Partners In Crime Part Two" - the funkier sequel to the soulful lo-fi love jam "Partners In Crime" - following the 2012 release of the duo's Purple Naked Ladies bonus EP. This take is a decidedly jazzier spin on the original driven by the warm chords and funk bass that have come to typify fusion and acid jazz over a beautifully broken beat. Syd Tha Kid kills over both iterations of the track with an easy refrain that allows her sweet vocal to float into a dope devotional of a breakdown as the hi-hats drop out toward the end of the song. The track arrives alongside news that Syd and Matt Martians will be dropping their second album on September 24th. The Feel Good LP will feature production from Thundercat, The Neptunes and Mike Einziger with appearances from Yuna, Jesse Boykins III and Mac Miller.
