The Roots Rock Summer Jam 2014 With M.O.P., Dres of Black Sheep & The Lox + Black Thought Talks Shop In Hot 97's '97 Seconds' Series.
The Roots rocked live at Hot 97's Summer Jam with Dres of Black Sheep, The Lox and M.O.P. just one day after crushing the set at The Roots Picnic in Philly with a killer lineup that included Snoop Dogg and Janelle Monáe. On one hell of a tear after their annual hometown fête, The Legendary Roots Crew took the crowd at MetLife stadium on a trip back through some tried and true New York City classics that brought a handful of legends to the stage and made good use of the band's ability to blow any crowd away with their epic live sound. Dres hit the stage with Black Thought on the assist for the beloved Black Sheep anthem "The Choice Is Yours", while M.O.P. and The Lox went into the vaults to rock two certified joints for the streets with their respective performances of "Ante Up" and "Wile Out."
