Okayplayer loves THEESatisfaction but THEESatisfaction loves Erykah Badu, a love they expressed the way all love should be--through a mixtape. Actually THEESatisfaction Loves Erykah Badu is more of a beat-tape of trippy, soulful melodic loops and drums that phase in and out of time like the sounds of mindsex. THEESat x Badu makes a satisfying sequel to the duos last mixtape crush THEESatisfaction Loves Anita Baker, although the absence of vocals on the new joint is noted with some sadness. Maybe we will hear some of these beats brought back for the next official THEESat release, or maybe Ms. Badoula will even love the THEESisters back and scat on top of one of these tracks. Either way, if this is developing into a whole tribute series, we look forward to more hot goddess on goddess action in the next installment (...Loves Nina Simone? ...Loves Sade? ...Loves Minnie Ripperton? ...Loves Sheila E.?
