Thelonious Martin & Mac Miller Link On The Hazy New Cut "Her"
Thelonious Martin has quickly and prolifically been making rounds as some of your favorite rappers' go-to production dudes for some time now. Today we've got a a soupy new heater in the Mac Miller-crooned cut "Her," providing ample testament to Theo's kushy soul chops. Ye olde Larry Fisherman comes through with a surprisingly good vocal treatment on the hook (imperfect, but certainly fitting) over sprawled-out rhodes and a simple shuffle that drags slightly; a perfect score to your evening air blessings.
It's the first we've heard from the Jersey beat junkie since the clash of the Martins AKA his collaboration Theophilus Martins back in May. And even though this new joint won't be making the jump to his forthcoming Wünderkid project, if it's any indication of what's to come, I'd say we've got a lot to look forward to. Find out if the high is worth the low with Thelonious Martin and Mac Miller's jones-soaked loosie "Her" below and keep it locked as we get ready for the release of Wünderkid on December 2nd. Check him out on Bandcamp, if you need a crash course in Martin's endlessly dope production styles.
