TLC fans, rejoice. Our first taste of the group's new album (14-years-in-the-making) has arrived via Apple Music. The new album campaign began way back in 2014 with launch of a Kickstarter fund that surpassed their $150,000 goal nearly three times over by collecting $430,000 from a devout fanbase to write, record and produce a new album, which would also serve as the first project completed entirely without Lisa "Lefteye" Lopes, who tragically died in a 2002 car crash just months before the release of the group's last album, 3D, featuring The Neptunes, Timbaland, Rodney Jerkins and more.
A few months back, band manager Bill Diggins, took to Facebook to claim that "the best is definitely yet to come," revealing that the surviving members had 15 new songs in the bag. And today we finally get to decided if it was worth the wait with previews of the new songs "Joy Ride" and "Haters," the former being a direct extension of their hallmark '90s r&b template, the latter a more nuanced take on trap&b stylings. Peep the previews down below and hold tight for the next transmission from TLC. Hopefully we'll have the album's name and release date before the year's end.
