TLC has jumped back into the spotlight with the arrival of CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story - the VH1 biopic that tells the story of the celebrated r&b trio from their earliest aspirations to worldwide fame, detailing the drama, heartbreak and triumph that filled the space in between. The film directed by Charles Stones III premiered last night to widespread fan reaction. Responses ranged from heartfelt expressions of love for the group and their catalog to memorials to Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes, who was killed in a car accident in Honduras in 2002. There was massive praise for Lil' Mama's portrayal of the deceased star - an end result that flies directly in the face of skepticism about her involvement that emerged after she was cast for the part - and varying degrees of disgust directed at TLC's former manager Perri "Pebbles" Reid, who reportedly bilked the trio out of millions of dollars at the height of their success.
