Pass The Popcorn: Tracy Morgan To Star Alongside Ice Cube In First Film Role Since Fatal Accident
Tracy Morgan keeps defying the odds, folks. A year ago, we weren't sure if we'd ever see the titanic comedian on screens, big or small, ever again, but the last few months stand as testament to his will and immutable force. This past weekend, Morgan stood, stoic and heartfelt, at the Emmys as he thanked his family, friends and fans for their undying support through a year-long rehabilitation following a fatal car accident that claimed the life of fellow comedian and collaborator James McNair and left Morgan in an eight-day-long coma. Today, The Wrap is reporting that the SNL & 30 Rock alum will star alongside Ice Cube and It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia's Charlie Day in Fist Fight; his first role in a film since that life-changing accident, following his appearance in Chris Rock's Top Five. According to IMDB, the film is currently in its pre-production phase, but nevertheless, if an appearance from the eternal impregnator is afoot, the world will cheer no matter how ridiculous film itself may be. No date has been announced for the release of Fist Fight, but Tracy Morgan's next appearance is, in fact, set, hosting the October 17th episode of Saturday Night Live, taking it right back to where it all began.
