Renaissance woman and cultural tastemaker Vashtie Kola sits for a chat with Combat Jack and Premium Pete about her professional endeavors, life and striving for perfection on The Combat Jack Show. Vashtie talks growing up in Albany, going to film school, being the first woman to design a pair of Jordans, rocking streetwear and eventually dropping her own streetwear brand Violette. She talks about her family life, and the influences that her siblings had on her musical tastes. She also talks about being bullied for being different and the depression that that facilitated during her youth - a phenomenon that drove her deeper into the arts as a form of escapism and eventually encouraged her move to New York City.
